FRAMEWORK CONTRACT FOR SERVICES TO COUNTRIES BENEFICIARY FROM EUROPEAN COMMISSION EXTERNAL AID IN THE FIELDS OF ENVIRONMENT (LOT 6)
| The objective of the Framework Contract is to provide, via individual assignments through specific contracts, short-term technical assistance which can be mobilised at very short notice. Individual assignments may cover any stage of the project cycle – programming, formulation, identification, and implementation.
Environmental integration is one of the core issues pursued by the Commission, and the EC is involved in several international committees of major donors for a reflection on a better environmental integration in their development co-operation. In order to improve its practices, the Commission is introducing new tools for a more efficient and environmentally sustainable development, such as the Country Environmental Profiles (CEP) which will complement Country Strategy Papers (CSP) and are to be taken into consideration in the assessment of procedural compliance. |
